Daveed Speaks to AMLA on Radicalization and the Threat of Homegrown Terrorism
On September 23, 2009, Daveed spoke to the Anti-Money Laundering Association Florida Chapter in Winter Park, FL. The AMLA is a national membership-based organization founded in 2007 for professionals involved with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) laws and monitoring other financial crimes. Drawing upon years of research and practice, Daveed’s seminar focused on the threat of homegrown terrorism in the West, elaborated on terrorist ideology and how homegrown jihadi terrorists radicalize, and assessed prevalent trends and threats to Western countries. In the past, Daveed and the CTR team have delivered training for the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Army Central Command, and the Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council.
